BAGDEN HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – KATIE AND JONATHAN

IF YOU’RE PLANNING A WEDDING AT BAGDEN HALL IN HUDDERSFIELD, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING FOR INSPIRATION!

When Katie and Jonathan first got in touch with me about their Bagden Hall wedding in Scissett, Huddersfield, I was so happy – they were planning such a fun countryside wedding with a church ceremony, lawn games and even a bucking bronco. Katie and Jonathan are the most fun people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Bridal prep

I began the morning at Katie’s Mum and Dad’s house, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together, and it was really exciting, because the dogs kept running around everywhere. Katie wore spectacular dress by ‘Allure’ and Jonathan and the groomsmen wore suits from Carl Stuart and they looked so perfect. They had an amazing classic car driving Katie and her Dad to the ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Huddersfield.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church near the centre of Huddersfield, and was a traditional religious ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony they were showered with confetti, and then we went and did some beautiful portraits. The couple travelled to Bagden Hall in a wedding Land Rover provided by Land Rover Wedding Hire.

The reception

The wedding reception took place at Bagden Hall, which was adorned with purple wellies as vases on the tables, and matching cow ear tags as place settings, and rustic table settings. It was so wonderfully personalised.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from the afternoon is the one of the couple and their dogs on the hay bales.

After the meal they had some wonderful speeches, then the couple cut the wedding cake and which was personalised by a amazing cake topper of the couple and their dogs, and the cake was made by Katie’s mum and sisters. They also had a photobooth, which everyone loved – especially me because the guests all wore the props on the dancefloor.

I have been fortunate enough to photograph lots of weddings at Bagden Hall, but this one will certainly stay in my memory for a very long time. For all the right reasons I should add!

What a brilliant day! Katie and Jonathan had planned everything adding lots of little touches here and there which really came together on the day. Even the dogs and horse were involved, which made it extra special for them as they are like family and couldn’t be left out!

Bagden Hall were very accommodating and the dogs stayed all day and had a great time being fussed over by all the guests.
