Standedge Tunnel Visitors Centre, Marsden, Wedding Venue

What an amazing summer we’ve had in 2018! It’s been perfect for wedding photography and it doesn’t get anymore photogenic than Standedge Visitors Centre in Marsden.

However, this must have been the only day that it rained all day! It didn’t have any effect on the enjoyment of the day, or the photographs, we had a great time! The bride arrived by boat and the ceremony took place upstairs, in the eaves of the visitors centre building.

Bridal Prep at her Parent’s House

I nipped over to Ashton-u-Lyne to get some photos of the girls (and dad) getting ready in the morning before the wedding. Everything was buzzing when I got there, and the girls had had a lovely morning relaxing and having their makeup and hair done.

Did you know that Standedge Tunnel is Britain’s longest, deepest, highest canal tunnel? Boat trips are running throughout summer, and you can come and try out the short journey from the centre of Marsden to the venue to see if you want to arrive at your wedding in unique fashion!
