Spring wedding at The White Hart, Saddleworth
I met up with Hayley and Alex a while ago at The White Hart in Lydgate to discuss their wedding photography, but it certainly seemed to come around quickly! It’s a brilliant place for photos with pretty much everything you’d need from panoramic views of Saddleworth and great staff (and food!).
I arrived on the morning and went to visit the girls who were all getting ready at Hayley and Alex’s house in Mossley. It was very calm and the girls were just pottering around, and opening the gorgeous presents that they’d received from Hayley. You can see from the pictures, they went down a storm!
Hayley’s dress was absolutely stunning, a brilliant find from Adele Winstanley’s bridal wear shop in Uppermill. She and the bridesmaids looked fabulous all day, and really complimented each other.
The Albion Church, Ashton under Lyne
The bridesmaids arrived at the church first, to discover that it was a but breezy to say the least. They ran straight into the church along with the Mother of the Bride, let’s not forget Julie’s amazingly stylish outfit too!
If Alex was nervous he didn’t show it, the lads were all very laid back. The bridal party made their entrance into the church down the very long and imposing aisle, and Alex was very pleased with himself that he didn’t cry when Hayley arrived.
The newlyweds went to sign the register and emerged to a big round of applause as the stopped for a kiss under the amazing stained glass window. The church is beautiful and very photogenic, especially the doorway where we captured the couple from both sides. The wind was still blowing when the new Mr and Mrs came out and got showered in confetti, with the wind swirling it around us, always a brilliant moment which gets some great reactions!
On our way up to the White Hart we stopped very briefly to grab a photo of the picturesque view looking over Chew Valley. A lovely moment, and where I have fond memories of growing up.
