Hannah and Mark got married at Wentbridge House Hotel, which is a beautiful country house in Pontefract with stunning grounds. It was such a fun wedding and the sun even made an appearance!
The ceremony
The ceremony was a legal ceremony in the ballroom with large windows letting in lots of natural light. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was such a personal service.
They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in the main hall at Wentbridge House Hotel – I love this venue because the light is gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at Wentbridge House Hotel are amazing, because the surroundings are so gorgeous.
Why Wentbridge House Hotel is a great place to get married
Wentbridge House Hotel is such a romantic setting with beautiful gardens and lots of hotel rooms for all your guests to roll off the dance floor straight into bed, and is one of the best places to get married in West Yorkshire. The venue offers amazing food – and there is a gazebo that’s perfect for photos.
The reception
The couple had lots of cake in the afternoon, and a pizza truck in the evening. The speeches were very personal, and it was so nice when the groom’s sister (who is a past bride of mine) got up to say a few, very funny and poignant words. For dinner they had a roast dinner, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. They finished off the evening with a huge buffet.
Wedding Gown
Hannah wore a traditional white gown and Mark wore a navy suit and they looked really perfect.
The couple got in touch with me after I had photographed Amy, Mark’s sister’s wedding, and their enquiry sounded great, and I was really looking forward to seeing everyone again! They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so relaxed. and eve brought the dogs along for some photos.

You really can’t go wrong at Wentbridge House Hotel, the rooms are beautifully decorated and a perfect backdrop for the bridal preparation photos, the ceremony can be under the gazebo or indoors, and the food is amazing!
