Bagden Hall Summer wedding photography Huddersfield

IF YOU LOVE A GOOD PARTY THEN YOU’LL ENJOY THIS BAGDEN HALL, HUDDERSFIELD WEDDING!

Emily and Michael got married at the beautiful Helme Church, in a quiet village just outside Huddersfield, before they headed off to Bagden Hall for the reception. It was a wonderful ceremony, wedding, with with lots of singing (which we’ve really missed!) laughing and celebrations. The guests were so pleased it happened after so many changes of dates due to the pandemic and they had a fabulous time.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the beautiful Helme Church, and was surrounded by fields, which was lovely. The ceremony included a beautiful reading, and lots of emotional moments. It was a brilliant occasion, full of nervous giggles and sideways glances!

After the ceremony, we had a confetti aisle, which was so much fun, and I got some happy photos of the couple. The weather at this point was a bit mixed, so we got as many group shots done as possible outside the church. Then the wedding car whisked the couple off to the venue for more photos and mingling.

The reception was held at Bagden Hall, in Scissett. The venue is perfect for weddings because it has so many options, and it’s so picturesque, especially in the gardens which are gorgeous from every angle.

For the reception, the couple had organised a magician for their guests, and everyone loved him. Guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which was a roast dinner – it was delicious. I had the veggie option, which the venue kindly brought out to keep me going!

The evening

After the meal was finished, guests tucked into the sweet table and had a good catch up, and the dance floor was packed with the DJ keeping everyone entertained all evening.

The venue brought out a huge buffet, which looked amazing, and everyone tucked in. The whole day at this Bagden Hall wedding was just the happiest occasion, from the fun in the morning getting ready to the last dance.

Top tip for planning a wedding

at Bagden Hall is, make good use of every aspect of the building, from the sweeping staircase to the picturesque grounds and don’t be put off by a bit of weather. Umbrellas look fab in photos!
