Summer wedding at Crow Hill, Marsden
How lucky were Corinne and Stewart on their sunny wedding day at Crow Hill? I always love this venue, not just because I live in Marsden (handy), but because it’s a wedding photographer’s dream! As one of the most stylish venues in the area you really can’t go wrong as a backdrop to your special day.
On the morning of the wedding the girls were in the main house at Crow Hill getting their makeup and hair done in the grandeur of the bridal suite. The men were getting ready in one of the cottages in the grounds, so I was able to pop from one to the other and get some of the excitement before they set off for the church. The guests were transported to Linthwaite church, ten minutes away on the vintage bus, they all had their tickets ready to get on!
The service at the church was perfect and as was the weather, even if it was a little windy for confetti! After the ceremony, the couple set off in their wedding car to go over to see Corinne’s Grandparents in Meltham. They were all ready and waiting for us in the foyer of their retirement home, and were so pleased to spend some time with the happy couple on their wedding day. We got some photos of them together and then the couple were whisked back to Crow Hill for the reception.
During the day I was mostly capturing the day naturally as it unfolded without interfering with the flow or getting in the way. That’s not to say that I didn’t have some lovely chats with the guests and hopefully make everyone feel at ease. As you can see from the images below, they tell the story of that day so you really get a feeling of what it was like and a lasting reminder of the day for the bride and groom.
Later on, we headed up into the fields to capture some of the newlyweds having a quiet moment together with the character of the stunning house and surrounding countryside providing a beautiful backdrop.
