Hoyle Court, Baildon wedding photography

What an amazing place Hoyle Court is! It’s tucked away up a driveway in it’s own grounds and is a secluded Edwardian mansion and Masonic Lodge. It really does feel like a secret and exclusive venue.

Andy and Matt couldn’t have picked a better venue for their afternoon tea, 40’s themed wedding. I was really spoilt for choice for places to take photos, everywhere in the extensive grounds are a stunning backdrop for wedding photography.

The Edwardian mansion was brilliant for the ceremony and reception as they were in different parts of the house. The ballroom in particular is an amazing space which looked great set up for the wedding breakfast compete with huge balloons and exquisite wedding cake.

I started the day at Andy’s parents’ house where there was a lot of activity! Bridesmaids where getting finishing touches, even Andy was helping out with the hair, and everyone was getting very excited.

The Ceremony

Once at Hoyle Court there was a real buzz with the guests arriving and the bridesmaids hiding away to make their grand entrance.

The girls looked so pretty all in their 40’s style floral dresses, and they managed to keep calm walking down the aisle before the grooms made their entrance with their mums’ giving them away. A little surprise for Andy during the ceremony was when his niece got up and sang with the choir that he belongs to. There had been plenty of secret rehearsal’s to get the performance absolutely perfect, and he was a very proud uncle, I may have had a tear in my eye too at that point!

After the ceremony it was all fun and (literally) games outside on the large patio and lawn. The kids had lots of room to let off some steam in a very safe area, with some little secret hiding places too!

Afternoon Tea 40’s style

Once everyone had played games and mingled outside it was time to head in for the wedding breakfast and speeches. These did not disappoint, they were so funny and moving. It’s so lovely to hear the grooms and family speak about their lives and funny stories!

I truly can’t wait to go back to Hoyle Court, it’s a wedding photographer’s paradise!
