Rachael and Luke got married at a cool tipi outside The 3 Acres Inn, tipi’s, which is a country pub in Shelley, Huddersfield with countryside views. It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and the rain held off all day!
The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate service in the very cool tipi. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was such a personal service.
They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in a tipi at The 3 Acres Inn, – I love this venue because they totally made it their own, and the food was amazing. Weddings at The 3 Acres Inn, are amazing, because it’s just so relaxed.
The 3 Acres Inn, is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, and is one of the best places to get married in Shelley, Huddersfield. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there is a perfect field at sunset that’s perfect for photos.
The afternoon
The couple wanted to just chill with their guests in the afternoon, and live music in the evening. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance was sung by their friend’s Husband who happens to be a professional musician. They finished off the evening with an amazing dance off.

Rachael wore a traditional white gown and Luke wore a navy suit and they looked really dapper.
The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry sounded brilliant, as I love a tipi wedding. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they just wanted to party and eat cake. The couple’s little boy didn’t want to stand around having photos, and I didn’t blame him! So I got the newlyweds to make it fun for him and have a little game of tickle chase around the field.
