If you’re planning a wedding at The White Hart, Lydgate in Saddleworth, you’ll love this!
Lucy and Kate got married at The White Hart, Lydgate, which is a boutique hotel in Saddleworth with countryside views. It was such a happy day and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
The ceremony
The ceremony was a legal ceremony the beautiful conservatory. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was such a personal service.
They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in a beautiful room at The White Hart, Lydgate – I love this venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed. Weddings at The White Hart, Lydgate are amazing, because it’s always got such a great atmosphere.
The White Hart, Lydgate is perfect for couples who want a big party, and is one of the best places to get married in Saddleworth. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.
The afternoon
The couple live saxophonist in the afternoon, and he kept everyone entertained whilst we captured some fmily groups and everyone mingled and celebratated with the couple in the evening. For dinner they had a roast dinner, and the first dance was sung by the band, and everyone sang along. They finished off the evening with sparklers.
The couple
Lucy wore a traditional white gown and Kate wore a knee-length dress and they looked really beautiful. I don’t think I’ve every seen such a gorgeous couple, the dresses complimented each other and they were unique and suited each of them perfectly.
The couple got in touch with me last year, as I was recommended to them by a friend. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they just wanted to party and eat cake. Most of my couples just want me to take natural photos without directing them, or making them feel like it’s a photo shoot, we just go for a walk and have a laugh. This involved grabbing the dresses and holding them up whilst the brides climbed the steps outside and hiked over to the wooden shed, it made a perfect backdrop and their daughter, the little flower girl very much enjoyed throwing leaves up in the air! Haha.
The wedding planners at The White Hart have thought of everything to make the day run smoothly, even down to convenient backdrops for photos. Even the rain didn’t hinder us, and we still managed to get some beautiful shots of the brides.
