Contemporary comic-book themed wedding

Alison and Martin had such a great idea for their wedding to incorporate all the things that they both loved, which mainly involved video games and comics! Fun was the name of the game, and all the guests where playing! Their venue was the picture perfect 315 Restaurant and Spa at Lepton, which has a brand new spa and bedrooms and looks amazing.

The start to the big day…

I started the day off at the bride and groom’s house, where the girls were busy making themselves even more beautiful. Helping in the morning were the lovely makeup and hair artists, and there was a very relaxed environment. Alison had chosen three of her best friends as her bridesmaids and they all had bespoke shoes to match their DIY comic book bouquets which Alison had lovingly created. Little details like this are what make the wedding extra special to the happy couple.
After a short while the vintage bus came along outside the house, and dropped the Father of the bride off so he could export Alison in the Rolls Royce behind. Me and the bridesmaids jumped on the bus and got a lift to the Town Hall in Wakefield where the ceremony was due to take place. This was a great idea, no-one had to worry about parking or being late.
The ceremony was filled with family and friends, and quite a relaxed affair, with the couple laughing most of the way through it!

Stunning venue

Once they had completed the formal part of the day, it was back on the bus through the Yorkshire countryside to the elegant venue of 315. We managed to get some shots outside at the front of the building with the bus, which provided a stunning backdrop to the photos. We then headed to the beautiful grounds to capture some fun shots or their friends and family. It really is an idyllic setting for photos with far-reaching stunning views to the rear and a contemporary and simple decor inside.
The rest of the evening was a whirlwind of fine dining, game playing, dancing and mingling! Topped off with the “First Game” instead of first dance. Martin the groom had created hand-made arcade games complete with retro games and bespoke styling. The went down a treat!
