Amber and Thomas got married at Woodsome Hall Golf Club, which is a golf club and hotel in Huddersfield with a tipi in the grounds. It was such a fun day and even the weather played ball!

The ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair in the tipi, which was beautifully decorated by Attention to Detail from Huddersfield. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was such a personal service.

They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in a tipi at Woodsome Hall Golf Club – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at Woodsome Hall Golf Club are amazing, because the grounds are completely stunning.

Woodsome Hall Golf Club is perfect for couples who want a big party, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Huddersfield. The venue offers an onsite golf course for the morning after – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.

The afternoon

The couple had drinks and canapés in the afternoon, and a fire in the evening. For dinner they had a roast dinner, and the first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dance floor to get the dancing going. They finished off the evening with the resident DJ from the clubs in Huddersfield, complete with “Bongo Dave” who really got the party going on the dance floor. People went crazy with their glow sticks and confetti canons.

The couple

Amber wore a traditional white gown and Thomas wore a navy suit and they looked really beautiful.

The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry came after I had photographed Thomas’s brothers wedding. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they were so chilled and just enjoyed themselves. We had a good laugh wandering around the grounds and the couple even got to drive the golf buggy around the grounds.
